In the fall of 2021, during my Introduction to Painting course, one of the fundamental lessons revolved around watercolor techniques, including the importance of atmospheric perspective. Applying this knowledge, we embarked on creating a series of landscapes. It was during a visit to Mount Vernon one Saturday in November that the view along the tranquil banks of the Potomac River struck me deeply, and led to my final for the semester.
